I am thrilled to share that my painting Rainbow Warrior Woman has been awarded as the finalist in the Teravarna Figurative Art Award, this award honors excellence in figurative painting on a truly global scale

This piece is deeply personal it is dedicated to honor my mother's Cree name a guiding spirit that has inspired and shaped my life and my art. Through this painting, I aimed to capture strength, resilience, and vibrancy of her spirit, creating a work that celebrates her spirit and Metis heritage.

Receiving this award is a meaningful recognition of my work as a contemporary Canadian figurative artist. It highlights the importance of Indigenous - inspired art and the power of telling personal stories through paint.
